What a mentor does
They don't do the work for you. They help you do it well.
- Before
- Which briefs fit where you are, and what the team will look for.
- During
- What you're missing, and what to do about it.
- After
- What went well, what to change next time, and whether you're ready for a Supervised brief.
Questions about finding a mentor.
Who are the mentors?
People doing the job right now, across many fields. They're checked before they can take a booking, and their current role is on their profile.
How much do mentors cost?
Mentors set their own prices, and you see every price in your own currency before you book. Every mentor offers at least one free slot a month: four weeks, one session a week.
Which currencies and payment methods can I use?
You see every price in your own currency before you book. You can pay through Stripe, dLocal, Wise, PayPal or M-Pesa, so you're not forced into dollars.
What's a Verified Skill?
A skill signed by your mentor when they've seen you can do it. Only a mentor can sign one, and paying more never gets you one.
How is a mentor different from an online course?
A course gives you a certificate for finishing lessons. A mentor watches you do real work, tells you what you are missing, and signs their name only when your judgment is good enough.
Do I need a mentor to do a brief?
No, but it helps. A mentor tells you what you're missing while you work. You can start with a free slot.
Can I cancel mentorship?
Yes. Book a single session, a package or a month, and stop when it isn't working. Reschedule or cancel within the notice window shown when you book.
