Choosing your role on FursaFlow

FursaFlow brings together two things you’d normally only get from a job: knowledge from a mentor who does the work for a living, and real work from businesses that need it done. There are four roles, depending on why you’re here.

Everyone must be 18 or older.

Learner

Get experience: learn from a mentor and work on real briefs.

This role is for you if you want hands-on experience on real business problems, proof of your skills from people who do the job, or a way into a new career.

As a learner, you can:

Take on free or paid briefs from Teams
Learn from a mentor through free sessions, packages or ongoing mentorship
Enter challenges with real prizes
Build a record of Verified Skills and Brief Records

Mentor

Get paid to pass on what you know.

This role is for you if you currently do the job you’d be mentoring in, and want to earn by helping others build real skills.

As a mentor, you can:

Mentor learners through free sessions, single sessions, packages or subscriptions
Advise a Team’s brief, coaching the learners doing the work
Run a programme for an organisation
Sign Verified Skills. Only mentors can do this.

Team

Get real work done.

This role is for you if you have real work your business doesn’t have capacity for, and you’re happy to give learners guidance and feedback.

As a Team, you can:

Post Open briefs (free, and must mainly benefit the learner) or Supervised briefs (you pay the learners and fund an advisor)
Review and shortlist applicants
Add a senior mentor as an advisor
Approve work at each milestone and issue Brief Records
Run challenges with prize money

You’ll complete a short business questionnaire to get verified before you post.

Organisation

Develop your own people.

For companies, accelerators, NGOs, bootcamps and sponsors who want to develop a group of people. A mentor runs the programme against goals you set. Organisations don’t sign up online. We set up programmes with you directly.
