Platform overview and tour
A quick tour of where everything is. For step-by-step help, see the Learner guide, Team guide or Mentor guide.
The header
Section titled “The header”- Notifications: the bell icon.
- Search: press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on Mac) or click the search icon.
- Feed: updates from people you follow. See The Feed.
- Account menu: your avatar, top right, for your profile, settings and signing out.
- Theme and language: switch between light and dark mode, and change language.
- Verification badge: Teams and mentors see this until they’re verified.
Your Dashboard
Section titled “Your Dashboard”A quick summary of what needs your attention: what’s due, invitations, and new messages. Click through to the relevant hub for the full details.
The hubs
Section titled “The hubs”- Projects hub: find and apply to briefs (learners), or post and manage them (Teams). Challenges are here too.
- Mentorship hub: find and book a mentor (learners), or manage your mentorships (mentors).
- Skills hub: your skills, endorsements and credentials.
- Knowledge library: articles and learning material from your mentors.
Briefs
Section titled “Briefs”- Open briefs are unpaid and must mainly benefit the learner.
- Supervised briefs pay the learner per milestone and fund a required advisor.
- Milestones split a brief into stages. The learner submits work for each one, and the Team approves it.
Your record
Section titled “Your record”- Verified Skill: signed by a mentor who has reviewed your work.
- Brief Record: issued by the Team whose brief you completed.
- Programme Record: issued when you complete an organisation’s programme.
Each one has its own page that anyone can use to check it’s genuine.
